Life’s Little Joys

Today’s post is a shorter one, because I don’t have much to say other than this.

As tough as grieving is, as utterly consuming as it is, it is so important to wholly indulge in all of life’s joys. Even if it is accompanied with the bad. Don’t miss out on the pure euphoria of the little pieces of joy because you are too fixated on being broken-hearted. Smile when you can, laugh when you can, forget about it when you can. Take a step when you can.

Grieving is a blessing in disguise because it empowers you to feel every single emotion that bubbles to the surface. It qualifies you to feel pure empathy; it makes being excited for others that much more exciting; it permits you to be okay with not being okay.

Even if you aren’t experiencing or haven’t experienced a season of grief, I want to encourage you to feel every moment of bliss that you can. Take it all in so that it can counter some of the bad when it comes. No one knows when that time will be, so why not be a little more equipped?

Life’s little joys are what will keep us going. Indulge in it.
